This week we look at an image utility module that lets you insert images that you upload using the Drupal core image field inline into any text field in your node.

However, rather than reading about it, now you can watch my screencast. In the video you'll learn basically how to use the Insert module to insert images you upload via the Drupal core image field into the body text field.

Hopefully, I will be able to continue recording screencasts for this series but feel free to drop a comment about what you’d rather prefer. This is my first time recording one so bare with me for any shortcomings.

When I mentioned that the width and height of the inserted image comes from the style you chose, in my example the style was what came automatically since that was my choice. In the image field settings you can choose which image styles you can use on each node edit form.

Insert & Drupal 7.20

I haven't gone through the full screencast, but wanted to make sure it's noted that Insert might have compatibility issues with drupal 7.20 and how core changed linking to images and the style module.

And as a side note, I personally prefer written articles over screencasts. For me it's easier to skim for what I need to know and refer back to previous parts of the article instead of rewinding a screencast.

Great screencast

Thanks for the video. I not only learned the latest features of the Insert module, but also learned about simplytest.me!

It's a very nice module, I

It's a very nice module, I actually use it on my site. The thing that I wanted to do is link the to the node, I found out it's complicated to achieve that, because the node needs to be saved first...

Thanks for the review!
