Inspired by some Apple interface, Coffee provides a very useful search widget from which you can easily navigate to any administrative page on your Drupal site. I recommend it to any Drupaler out there.

It’s always great when you can find modules that make your life easier. Ideas like Module Filter to help you manage all your modules is why the Drupal community is so great. Another one like this is Coffee. This module lets you get to any administrative page with a few simple keystrokes.

Coffee brings up a very efficient search widget if you press alt+D no matter where you are on the site. This way, you can always reach whatever admin interface by typing only a few keys.

Additionally, you have the :Add command that brings up options to add a new node of any of the types you have on your website.

Very cool! And yeah...I was drinking a cup of coffee while writing this.

Hope this helps.

Latest dev version of Admin

Latest dev version of Admin Menu module has a similar search box which is visible all the time on the admin menu bar.

Using and extending Coffee

Coffee also provides an API to hook and extend it's functionality beyond just navigating the admin-menu. We used those hooks (and patched the module where hooks weren't enough) to provide a user-search feature. We've even considered replacing the bulky Admin Menu module that we currently use on all our sites with the more light-weight Coffee. The only drawbacks that are keeping us from fully committing are 1) the time it takes to get accustomed to using Coffee and 2) the fact that Admin Menu helps developers discover and learn the menu structure of a Drupal site.

Very cool

I would love to see it work with localized admin menus as well, but it is very cool as it is! I'll just remember the original/english names of things.

♥ Coffee

This is a standard module in all our installs. I like the idea of using Coffee's "API to hook and extend it's functionality".
